It's a bit different than those of my friends Shannon and Amy, who have serious work related lists.
Tonight:
1. Pack the remainder of the camping gear, i.e. pillows, sheets, clothes, etc... in the car
2. Wash my makeup off prior to sweating it off at the campsite, and wake up tomorrow with racoon eyes
3. Drop Clayton off at my inlaws house, wishing the whole time I were staying also.
4. Go the campsite, drag all the stuff out of the car and to wherever we are going to be staying
5. Smile sweetly at the closest male in order to get him to set up the tent for me.
6. Blow up the air mattress, and put sheets on it.
7. Hang out and eat hot dogs and whatever other things you do at a Cub Scout campout. Curse husband for being out of town this weekend.
8. Go to bed at whatever time. Listen to giggly boys and snoring men. Toss and turn, and wish for tequila.
9. Engage in further cursing of husband.
Saturday morning:
1. Get woken up entirely too early feeling like I have fur coats on my teeth and limited ability to brush them.
2. Growl at people until Bonnie brings me my morning coffee.
3. Try fruitlessly to get tent and air mattress folded up and stuffed back into the bags they came in.
4. Watch Cub Scouts engage in Cub Scout Olympics.
5. Wish I were home lying in my nice comfortable bed.
6. Try desperately to score more coffee.
Saturday afternoon:
1. Pick Clayton up from Grandma and Grandpa's house.
2. Try to locate someting for lunch.
3. Welcome my friend Susan over, and wish her a HAPPY 40TH BIRTHDAY!!!
4. Go swimming with Susan and the kids.
5. Shower
6. Give Susan her totally awesome birthday gifts (more on that later) and watch her cry
7. Go shopping for Father's Day presents
Saturday evening
1. Hang out and commisserate over 28 years of friendship
2. Do some much needed laundry
3. Eat good food, and drink mimosas
4. Try to get the kids to go to bed early
5. Watch Sex and the City and drink white chocolate martinis
Sunday morning
1. Wake up way earlier than I want to, but very grateful I had a good bed to sleep in the night before
2. Wish I had gotten just a bit more sleep
3. Go to church
4. Go to lunch
5. Do more laundry
6. Take a possible nap
7. Welcome Mike home and wish him Happy Father's Day.
That's about it!
