Good anytime recipe

I'm posting this, because Big Mama asked me to, so here you go.

Although typically you think of soup for winter, this is a great summertime recipe as well, because:
  1. you don't have to heat up the house with the oven
  2. you can put it all together in the morning before it gets too hot
  3. it's all in one dish, so you don't have to worry about side dishes, unless you want cornbread or salad, and last but not least
  4. it's incredibly easy.

TACO SOUP

1 to 1.5 lbs lean ground meat
1 pkg taco seasoning mix
1 pkg ranch dressing mix
1 can pinto beans
1 can ranch style beans
1 can whole kernel corn
1 can rotel tomatoes
2 cans petite cut diced tomatoes
1 small can tomato sauce

Brown and drain hamburger meat, and combine with all canned ingredients (undrained). Simmer in a crock pot for several hours. Good served with fritos and cheese or cornbread. Freezes well.

I love this dish, but my hubby refuses to eat soup in the summer unless he's sick :( But in the fall and winter - oh can you imagine how often he has it? LOL
