Easter 2009

It was a wonderful holiday weekend, starting with a day off Friday for the kids and Mike and me. We slept in, had a wonderful breakfast of artery clogging bacon, sausage and pancakes, and then went to pick up both the frame for my quilting machine (yes, you scarily read that right) and my mother, and went to my in-law's house for an Easter egg hunt as it was supposed to come a bully washer yesterday. Then we had a wonderful dinner with family and friends that night.

Alas, there are no pictures here of any of that.

Instead you get to start with Saturday and events from our church's annual Easter extravaganza.

Here are the boys and their new cute little female friends:

And here is Aaron on his second annual attempt to climb up the rock wall. Because nothing says Easter like causing your acrophobic mother a heart attack.

And here's Clayton with some of his Easter basket booty:

And Aaron with his, his first ipod:

And here are my handsome boys ready for church. Are they cute or what?

Also not pictured is the fabulous lunch we shared after church with family again. Brisket, ribs, cole slaw, potato salad, deviled eggs and pinto beans. That's how we do Easter here in Texas.

Mmm...I'd be okay with that food on Easter. Or any time, actually.

LOL, we've been eating the leftovers all week long, also, so it's a good thing it was so good!
