Scenes from a redneck anniversary

Yesterday was mine and Mike's ten year anniversary. Somehow I had grander plans for this time. Plans that involved just the two of us. Things like an Alaskan cruise, or at the very least a romantic and leisurely weekend trip to the Texas Hill Country, with lots of relaxation, lots of alone time, and lots of wine.

If you read this blog or talk to me much, you know that we've had lots of other stuff going on this month. Things like hospitalizations, illnesses, doctor and medicine bills, a still sick child, and such.

Things that made us decide that we should stay home for our anniversary this year, and try instead to take a trip in the spring of next year.

We were going to go out to dinner, just the two of us, but then we came up with a better idea.

Wait for it...

Wait for it...

Look it's Six Flags!

Yeah, we're total rednecks.

The four of us, in front of the holly even!

Oh look, we even brought the mother in law!
