I just love this time of year

Spring is hands-down my favorite season. It's like a new beginning in ways; all the flowers blooming, the trees beginning to bud. It's warm, but not too hot, and especially important where we live, the mosquitos are not out yet. Our pond finally has water in it again after all the rain we got this past weekend, and everything is starting to look so pretty. The days are getting longer, which allows Mike and I to work on some of our never-ending outside projects (yes, we are major project people), and also allows the kids plenty of time to play outside, riding their battery-powered vehicles and playing "spy" or playing soccer or basketball. The nice weather though makes me long a little for even warmer weather when the water in the pool will be warm enough for us to swim. If only we could find a way to keep away all those pesky mosquitos...
